Ministry of Mines Transfers Right to Open Gas Stations to the Capital and Provincial Administration

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Mines and Energy, Suy Sem, has decided to transfer the authority of providing administrative services related to the provision and revocation of business licenses for oil production to the Capital and Provincial Administration.

According to the Declaration on the Delegation of Functions in the Provision of Administrative Services Related to the Licensing for Downstream Activities to the Capital and Provincial Administration, dated 20 September 2022, Minister Suy Sem authorized the Capital-Provincial Administration to evaluate, request and decide on the issuance and revocation of treatment licenses, stock permits, off-shore transport permits and commercial licenses for fuel, gas stations and joint oil and gas stations.

From now on, private individuals or companies wishing to apply for a permit for any of the stated activities can apply at the OWSO of the Kate Capital Administration, which covers the applicant's business base.
